About Us
Design Smart came about after some discussions between Liam Byrnes and Calvin Hanson as a ‘tent-making’ idea to continue working as Missionaries.
Calvin owned a design business for many years before becoming a missionary, where as Liam has been designing websites for just over 10 years, has more ability in technology acquisition, email and web infrastructure installations.
After talking both were convinced that it was a great way to continue both of their passions, technology and design as well as following vocational calls of ministry.
Something we think is unique about employing Design Smart is that not only do we assure you of professional level design but 100% of the profit is fueled into not-for-profit activities like:
- Helping start up businesses that empower the person/people and bring them out of their poverty
- Create campaigns that expose injustices and help prevent them (check out Liam’s awesome design»)
- Teach design and technology to give people a valuable skill set
